Assembling the engine still. Here I am in the middle of fitting the oil pump around the main stud girdle. A stock block only had 2 bolts to hold each main cap. In order to strengthen the lower end and keep the caps from walking, I decided to use ARP studs and a Probe stud girdle. The problem was that the girdle interferes with the oil pump webbing and the taller ARP studs interfere with the oil pump housing.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I ordered one of Gordon Levy's awesome camshafts for his 408's. I shouldn't share the specs, but it is very nice. I installed it and followed it by a very nice 7138 Comp Cams timing gear set.
Also been screwing around with sound deadening material. It is a product called eDead. It is really nice stuff and inexpensive. www.edesignaudio.com
